
USHA Silai School programme
Promotion of entrepreneurship among women for their better livelihood through providing advanced skills in tailoring. The use of sewing machine to meet the demands of markets and customer aspirations is the main focus of the skill development process.

Major interventions:
Six batches of satellite school trainings were organised in Jabhua (Madhya Pradesh) and Durg (Chhattisgarh) in which a total 60 women were participated. Another intervention was classical training programme conducted in 10 locations Kondegaon and Dantewada (Chhattisgarh), Hoshngabad, Bhopal, Mandla & Balaghat (Mandla district of Madhya Pradesh) with the participation of another 60 women.
Achievements:
A total 328 women who completed their training in tailoring were awarded the certificate by the project. Considering the mounting demands during the peak days of COVID, the teachers of the sewing class had made 3400 face masks.
